What to do with all that bamboo…

24 Jul

During Recreation and Parks Month (July) staff at Ocala Recreation and Parks were challenged to introduce a new recreation program to the public every day throughout the month.  The Parks Division decided to put a stand of bamboo at the Fort King National Historic Landmark to good use.   Over thirty participants joined in the program at the Fort King National Historic Landmark and with the assistance of the parks staff, made bamboo fishing poles.
